Progression

On successful completion of QQI Level 5 and 6 Awards from Kinsale College, students may be eligible under the Higher Education Links Scheme to progress onto a range of degree courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology around the country.
Applications are made through the CAO for entry to Year 1.
In order to qualify for progression students are required to complete a Full Award – usually 8 modules or a minimum of 120 credits. Other minimum entry requirements may apply for certain courses and need to be checked individually with the Career Guidance Counsellor.
Students who successfully complete of a Level 6 Award may be eligible to enter year 2 of certain degree courses. Applications for entry to Year 2 are usually made directly to the individual Higher Level Institution.

Kinsale College & Higher education links
Kinsale College is linked to Cork Institute of Technology under the Cork Colleges Progression Scheme (CCPS). It is the only County Cork Further Education College to be part of this scheme.
Kinsale College has also established links with I.T. Tralee and Limerick I.T. for certain courses. Here is a sample list of the linked courses 2013/2014. This list is always growing.
